What makes a city unique is its people and the stories there. Young adults who live in Erzsébetváros perceive the district in their own way. Layered collages are constructed from their real life experiences and personal stories that took part in the district. Layered spatial collages are giving the audience an abstract experience of the subject’s past while being showcased in a gallery window. From moving to the district in 1986 as a young adult to experiencing the pandemic in 2020 as a 26 year old woman, the exhibition Recollected Layers: Erzsébetváros presents four selected stories of young adults and a versatile perspective of the city.
